Epicurean Hotel Tampa focuses on curating connoisseur experiences, reflected in their tagline of Awaken Appetites Unknown. The hotel features comfortable guest rooms (including very luxurious suites), fantastic cuisine, an onsite spa, and it is one of our favorite Relaxed Luxury Resorts in Florida.
The property is inspired by the founder of Bern’s Steakhouse (across the street) which houses one of the world’s largest wine collections (over a half million bottles).

Located in Soho Tampa, one block from Bayshore Boulevard (the world’s longest continuous sidewalk) and two blocks from Hyde Park (Tampa’s historic neighborhood with some prestigious older homes), Epicurean Hotel is in a great location. Epicurean Hotel Tampa: The Rooms
All Epicurean Hotel rooms are super comfortable with luxurious robes and bathroom amenities, have cool sliding farm style wooden bathroom doors, marble showers with rainfall shower heads, coffee maker, microwave, and mini refrigerator. Oh, that reminds me, I left our leftovers in the fridge. Hope someone enjoyed them!
On our first visit to Epicurean Hotel in Tampa, last year, we stayed in a glorious corner junior suite. It had a separate living room area with a sectional sofa.
So, this is the hallway to my room. There is an entire room around the corner. Wow.Epicurean Hotel, Autograph CollectionVisit Tampa Bay

Élevage Restaurant
Élevage at Epicurean Hotel Tampa is the centerpiece of the property’s celebration of life’s finest culinary pleasures. Led by James Beard semi-finalist (USA South) executive chef Chad Johnson, the Élevage kitchen creates memorable dishes (aka experiences) with the freshest possible local ingredients.
While my wife had a magnificent filet mignon, I opted for an amazing piece of Florida grouper.

EDGE Rooftop Bar
Spend a pleasant evening at the EDGE rooftop bar sipping a craft cocktail or a local microbrew.

Epicurean Theatre
This is the only hotel I have been to with its own Cooking Theater—featuring culinary demonstrations, seminars, and competitions. It served as a nice “conference room” during my stay when I hosted the #FunTravelChat Twitter chat.

Spa Evangeline
Walking into Spa Evangeline at the Epicurean Hotel Tampa, you are first greeted by a “living wall” of floral botanicals. Depending on your selected treatment, the living wall provides ingredients to refresh, rejuvenate, and relax you.

Epicurean Hotel Tampa: Shopping
Chocolate Pi is a scratch bakery and chef Kim Yelvington prepares everything without preservatives or artificial flavorings. Bern’s Fine Wines and Spirits is located in the Epicurean Hotel lobby. Chocolate and wine together, what else do you need?
Epicurean Hotel Tampa: Bicycles
With the chocolate shop and wine store in the lobby and all of the amazing restaurants nearby (Bern Steakhouse, Haven, and more), a bike ride is a welcome solution. Ride through adjacent Hyde Park neighborhood to check out the majestic houses and along Bayshore Boulevard for fresh salt air.

Hope you have the opportunity to experience Epicurean Hotel one day soon.
Hey Lois, check it out. Your cousin might even live closer to Epicurean Hotel than hotels in downtown Tampa.
There are certainly a lot of great reasons why staying at the Epicurean Hotel, Tampa is a positive experience! Location and the beauty of the property are tops for me!
Okay, this looks amazing! I was ready to start packing when I saw the spa but that culinary theater sounds fascinating and the rooms are gorgeous. Next time I visit my cousins in Tampa, this is where I’m staying!
Truth, it is a nice concept, integrating the culinary them in to the entire experience.
Epicurean Hotel is my favorite place to stay in Tampa Florida.
Looks like you had a great stay and even a little work was fun. The Epicurean is certainly well-named and I love the spa treatments and cooking theater. They’re ahead of their time with that — almost makes me wonder why we haven’t seen this more often!
This place looks amazing. We need to plan a Florida escape that includes a stay at the Epicurean Hotel. Thanks for sharing. It looks like you truly enjoyed your stay.
Thank you for the note. The pool area and the rooftop bar are some other splendid open air areas to enjoy the fresh air.
My first and only pedicure. Heck, just take him there for a weekend trip, ply him with the Bern’s Steakhouse dinner and surprise him with the bourbon pedicure. He will love it.
No charge to use the bicycles. Yippee. A great way to explore Tampa Florida.
Oh, Doreen, you simply must visit their chocolate store, Chocolate Pi.
The Epicurean Hotel is just amazing. I love the delicate food, the comfortable room and the cosy decoration. Bicycle ride sounds perfect for exploration too. Is it free rental?
Those are 8 awesome reasons to stay at the Epicurean. I only needed 4-5 of them. I wish I could get my husband to get a pedicure. He’s just not into it. But a Bourbon pedicure might be the thing to change his mind.
I am a Balcony person (basically I am claustrophobic and I need fresh air), so the openness of the hotel already get my vote!
Thanks for sharing with us about your experience, and I will keep that in mind next time I am visiting Florida ~ 🙂 @ knycx.journeying
The Epicurean Hotel looks like an amazing place to stay, Charles. spa, rooftop bar, and great cuisine would be enough to draw me in, but there’s so much more!
If you have not been to Bern’s, oh you gotta go. It is a one-of-a-kind experience. And of course, stay across the street at Epicurean Hotel.
Wonderful summary. Thank you for stopping by.
Love this hotel with its own cooking theater. I have never seen another.
The Epicurean Hotel, Tampa seems unique in many respects. First of all its location is strategic to say the least. The terrace too looks inviting, nothing like lounging on one of the comfortable chairs there. The Cooking theatre is definitely something that I have not seen in any hotel and sounds really interesting. Finally a bike ride in the vicinity is something that would be a value added experience.
Oh wow, that hotel seems like it has it all! I’d love the cooking theater where you could watch and learn and take notes!
Sounds like a real food connoisseur.s paradise, especially those with “appetites unknown.” And we would definitely visit Bern’s steakhouse as steak is my hubby’s favorite!
